Here is a lesson for anyone that feels confident in their price.  Know the competition before you speak out!

My oldest daughter opened her first bank account this week (I’m such a proud dad), and my wife was asked by the clerk why we closed/moved our Mortgage from TD Bank to ING about 4 years ago.  The answer was simple.  ING was going to save us money and we were VERY unhappy with the service from TD Bank.  I’m not going to lie, I still remember the service I got from TD Bank and it was the worst.

The lady, without being asked, starts going through on checking how TD Bank compared to “show” how TD Bank could of been a better choice…here’s the best part.   She was stopped dead in her tracks as even she saw how we were saving $1,000 by being with ING.

Can you say awkward.   I hear that TD Bank wins year over year on customer service.  They lost our mortgage because of terrible service, and the only reason we started to look for a different mortgage provider.  It was a bonus that we saved money with ING

Bottom line: In this economy, you can save $1000 on your mortgage with ING Direct, as proven by TD Bank.
